The CPRS (Canadian Public Relations Society) Toronto chapter awarded its annual ACE Awards on May 4 and Centennial College PR students once again swept the student category winning two awards for “Student PR Communications Plan of the Year.”

The past 14 weeks at Centennial College have been loaded with networking opportunities, writing exercises, group meetings, group outings and plenty of new friends. The one-year postgrad certificate program in Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Centennial (#CCPR) has stood out for me as being one of the best learning experiences so far.

Ready, Aim, HIRE! is the latest initiative as part of Centennial’s School of Communications, Media & Design’s collaboration initiative, Project Fusion. Created in September 2012, Project Fusion is an organized answer for students at the Story Arts Centre wanting and looking for opportunities to collaborate with one another.

In late January Centennial’s School of Communications, Media & Design held a school-wide competition focused on generating discussion around issues related to transit and social justice. A team from Corporate Communications & Public Relations won the competition, and partnered with students from Broadcasting & Film to bring their idea to life.
