In late January Centennial’s School of Communications, Media & Design held a school-wide competition focused on generating discussion around issues related to transit and social justice. A team from Corporate Communications & Public Relations won the competition, and partnered with students from Broadcasting & Film to bring their idea to life.

2012 Corporate Communications & Public Relations award winners

On February 20th & 21st Centennial College honoured its award winners for the 2011 – 2012 academic year. Three graduates from Centennial’s Corporate Communications & Public Relations program received awards at a gala dinner in the college’s new Athletic & Wellness Centre, hosted by CBC’s Suhana Meharchand.

CC & PR students win 10.10.10 Competition with “The Amazing Transit Race”

An idea that would have teams racing across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton regions on public transit is the winner of Centennial College’s 10.10.10 Competition. “The Amazing Transit Race” would raise awareness of the difficulties for commuters on low income, who have disabilities, or who speak a language other than English.
