Student Event: Right to Rally Beach Volleyball Tournament

Attention volleyball lovers:  Here is your chance to play your favourite game while donating to a great charity.

We are looking for teams to play at an indoor beach volleyball tournament to raise funds for Right To Play, a charity dedicated to providing sport programs to children in communities affected by war, poverty and disease.

The event is Saturday, April 16th – so register your team as soon as possible.

Teams participating in the event should have six to seven players. The registration fee is $15 per player. This includes a minimum of four games of tournament play, as well as one raffle ticket and food ticket. Players from the eliminated teams will be able to participate in activities on our free sand courts throughout the afternoon. All players will receive a special participant kit on the day of the tournament and prizes will be awarded to the first and second place teams. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event. Additional details about the raffle structure and prizes will be announced soon.

The good news is that Right To Rally is not only for tournament players. You can still come out and have some fun in the sand, cheering on your favourite team and participating in other beach-inspired activities. Non-tournament players can make a $5 cash payment at the door. Additional donations are welcome.

Right To Rally will be held at North Beach Volleyball. It is located at 74 Railside Rd, Toronto, on April 16, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

How to get there:

By bus: Take the 54A from Eglinton Station towards Lawrence East. Get off at “Railside Road” and walk 10 minutes to 74 Railside Rd.

By car: Via the Don Valley Parkway. Exit at Lawrence Ave. East. Drive east  on Lawrence Ave. to Railside Rd. Turn right. Continue along Railside Rd. North Beach Volleyball will be on your left.
