Student Event: Pack Up Hunger
Every day children go hungry, and Blessings in a Backpack wants to change that. By keeping children fed over the weekends, Blessings in a Backpack helps kids to return to school on Monday alert and ready to learn.
On Tuesday, November 22, 2011 you can support Blessings in a Backpack by attending Pack Up Hunger, a children’s art show and art auction at ING Café at 222 Yonge St., Toronto (across from the Eaton Centre on the corner of Yonge and Shuter). From 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. you can view artwork created by the young girls at Trafalgar Castle School, and bid on pieces donated by three local artists, Sarah Mason, Jacqueline Poirier and Kelly Hotles.
Tickets are $20 each and include one drink in the price. Wine and beer will be available for sale, as well as a balloon pop game where you can purchase a balloon to win the prize inside. To support one child for one year in the program only costs $100. On November 22, help Blessings in a Backpack to support the children of Toronto.
