Cision helps power student success at Centennial College

Centennial College is proud to partner with Cision, a leading provider of public relations software, to offer access to its Cisionpoint software for our Corporate Communications & Public Relations students. Centennial was the first post-secondary institution in Ontario (and only second in Canada) to join Cision’s University Program in Spring 2010.  Since then, it Cision has been part of the CC&PR curriculum, helping give graduates a competitive edge in marketplace.

Students learn the Cision basics, including building media lists and researching media contacts in their Media Relations course, and then use the monitoring and analysis features in the Measurement & Metrics course in second semester.  Students arrive on field placement pre-trained in Cision – an advantage employers have noted to the college.

In this video produced by Cision, CC&PR program coordinator Barry Waite talks about Centennial’s relationship with Cision and the benefits it offers students.
