All are invited! A group of students in Jesse-May Rountree’s Event Management class are planning a ‘mardi gras masquerade for hunger’ in order to collect food for and raise awareness of Second Harvest, a food bank located in the west end of Toronto.
An idea that would have teams racing across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton regions on public transit is the winner of Centennial College’s 10.10.10 Competition. “The Amazing Transit Race” would raise awareness of the difficulties for commuters on low income, who have disabilities, or who speak a language other than English.
