Introducing the Story Arts Centre

Big news! The Centre for Creative Communications, home to Centennial’s School of Communications, Media & Design and Centennial’s public relations programs has a new name. Introducing the Story Arts Centre!

The new name celebrates interactive storytelling — a key element of all the programs in the school.  Every program is designed to teach students to tell stories in new and innovative ways through a variety of platforms, from the art canvas or musical instrument through to the news release or Twitter.

It’s part  of the continued growth of the school within Centennial and the GTA community.  New programs in television and film production, dance and theatre are on there way, along with our exciting new Bachelor of Public Relations Management.  All contribute to make the Story Arts Centre at Centennial College the best place for collaborative learning and interactive storytelling in Toronto!

An idea that would have teams racing across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton regions on public transit is the winner of Centennial College’s 10.10.10 Competition. “The Amazing Transit Race” would raise awareness of the difficulties for commuters on low income, who have disabilities, or who speak a language other than English.
