Student Event: Stand Up for Hunger

Stand up for hungerJoin students from Centennial College’s Corporate Communications & Public Relations program in Pickering this holiday season as they ‘stand up’ for hungry families in the Durham community!

“Stand Up for Hunger” is a comedy night supporting Feed the Need in Durham, a charity providing food for hungry families in the Durham Region. The event will take place at Yuk Yuk’s comedy club in Ajax on December 5, 2013 at 7 p.m. With stand-up comedy from Michael Gelbart and Dom Pare, raffle prizes, and a silent auction, Stand Up for Hunger is sure to be a fun night out for a worthwhile cause!

Feed the Need in DurhamAbout Feed the Need in Durham (FTND): Based in Oshawa, FTND is a regional food distribution warehouse serving Durham Region. Providing food to emergency food providers such as food banks, soup kitchens, and community service centres, FTND handles between 135,000 and 150,000 pounds of food per month, feeding more than 50,000 people across Durham Region.
