Student Event: Unwind << Rewind

Feeling overwhelmed with classes and endless group projects? Do you want to just punch the air to the rhythm of a fiery saxophone solo in an angst-ridden teenage musical montage?

Then dude, do we ever have the perfect party for you.

You are invited to rewind the clock and unwind with all of the other misfits at the Fox & Fiddle on Danforth Avenue at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2011. Corporate Communications & Public Relations group Food For Thought will be hosting Unwind<<Rewind: ’80s After School Special, a throwback 1980s event where everyone is welcome to pump up their kicks, toss their hair into a scrunchy and moonwalk to the Fox & Fiddle.

Dig out your best neon leggings and biggest shoulder pads, because we’ve got a night chock full of fun, including:

– Cheap Beer

– Free Nibbles

– Karaoke (provided by DJ Jeff French & Impact Entertainment)

– Prizes for Best ’80s outfit

– Raffle draws

– Silent Auction (including a Kobo eReader Touch, free pizza every month for a year at Boston Pizza, and a chance to bid on a DJ package for your next party/event!)

Tickets are $5 in advance, or $10 at the door.

All proceeds from this event will be going towards helping the Breakfast Clubs of Canada (BCC). BCC is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing services and funding to school breakfast programs. In Canada alone, 1 out 10 children lives in poverty, and many kids throughout the country arrive at school with empty stomachs. BCC is committed to ending the cycle of poverty and is also the only breakfast-oriented not-for-profit that focuses on building students’ self-esteem.
